Alerts on Telegram and Discord
Your bots can message you on Telegram, in Discord direct messages, or in a Discord channel of your own. Use any of them, or all three. The messages are the same everywhere: a trade hit your take profit or stop loss, something needs you, or something touched your wallet.
Alerts only. You can't trade, withdraw, or start or stop a bot from a chat, and our bots never ask you for anything. The few chat commands only show information or pause alerts.
Connect Telegram
- In the app, open Alerts and press Connect Telegram.
- Telegram opens on @AllenHarkAlertsBot. Press Start there. On a computer, scan the QR code with your phone's camera instead.
- Come back to the app. It shows "Connected" with your Telegram name.
The link works once and expires after 10 minutes. If it expires, press Connect Telegram again. If you block the bot in Telegram, the app tells you alerts can't reach you. Unblock it and connect again.
Connect Discord
Direct messages from AllenHark Bot:
- Press Connect Discord on the Alerts page.
- Discord asks you to authorise AllenHark Bot, the same bot that runs our Discord server. It only reads your Discord username and adds you to the AllenHark server. A Discord bot can only message people it shares a server with.
- You're sent back to the app, and the bot sends you a "Connected" message.
If Discord won't let the bot message you, the app says so. To fix it, right-click the AllenHark server in Discord, open Privacy Settings, turn on Direct Messages, then connect again.
Your own channel, with a webhook:
- In your Discord server, open the channel's settings, then Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook → Copy Webhook URL.
- On the Alerts page, press Post alerts to a Discord channel instead and paste the URL. It must start with
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/. - We send a test message to the channel before saving.
A webhook URL lets anyone post to that channel, so treat it like a password. We store it encrypted and never show it again. If you delete the webhook in Discord, the app tells you and asks for a new one.
Every channel has its own Send a test message button, and its own Disconnect or Remove.
What you can get
Each switch on the Alerts page controls one group, for every channel. Every message says what happened in one line, names the bot, and says "(Practice)" while the bot practises. It also links back to the page that matters.
| Switch | What it sends | Starts |
|---|---|---|
| Take profit and stop loss | A trade hit your take profit or your stop loss, with the result in SOL. | On |
| Daily summary | One message a day per bot: today's PnL, trades and how many won, counting from midnight in your time zone. | On |
| Problems | Your bot stopped, its server lost its connection (and when it's back), it lost its market feed, couldn't sell a token, or hit today's loss limit. We wait a moment before telling you, and stay quiet while an update or a restart you asked for is running. | On |
| Low balance | A live bot doesn't have enough SOL for its next buy and its fees. At most once every 6 hours per bot. | On |
| Plan and billing | 3 days and 1 day before your plan ends, when buying stops (only selling), and when trading stops. | On |
| Every buy and sell | A message for each trade. This can be a lot of messages. | Off |
| Security | A withdraw address was added, became ready to use, or was removed, a withdrawal was made, or a PIN was changed. | Always on |
When alerts come
- Daily summary time: 21:00 in your time zone unless you change it. Pick the time and the time zone under When.
- Quiet hours: turn them on to get no alerts between two times, for example 23:00 to 07:00. Security alerts still come. When quiet hours end, you get one message saying how many alerts you missed, for example "While you were away: 4 alerts (2 take profit or stop loss, 2 trades)".
- Mute: pause alerts for 1, 8 or 24 hours from the Alerts page or from a chat. Security alerts still come.
If many alerts arrive at once, you get the first 30 in a minute, then one "N more alerts" message.
Chat commands
These work in the Telegram chat with @AllenHarkAlertsBot. In Discord, type them after /bots (for example /bots status), in the bot's DMs or the AllenHark server. They only show information or change your alert settings.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/status | Your bots, whether each one is running, and today's PnL (from midnight in your time zone). |
/positions | What your bots hold now. |
/alerts | Which alerts are on, the summary time, quiet hours and mute. |
/mute 1h, /mute 8h, /mute 24h | Pause alerts. Security alerts still come. |
/unmute | Resume alerts. |
/unlink | Disconnect this chat. |
/help | The list above. |
There are no commands to buy, sell or withdraw, and there never will be. Do those in the app, where they ask for your PIN.
Security alerts are always on
While any channel is connected, security alerts can't be turned off, muted or held back by quiet hours. Each one says what to do if it wasn't you. For example: "New withdraw address added … Not you? Change your PIN and remove it now". Together with the 24-hour wait on new addresses, this gives you time to stop anyone who got hold of your PIN. See Wallet and security.
Staying safe
- The official bots are @AllenHarkAlertsBot on Telegram and AllenHark Bot in the AllenHark Discord server. Check the name before you press Start or Authorise.
- Every link in an alert starts with https://allenhark.com/bots. Don't open anything else.
- We never ask for your key, seed phrase or PIN in a chat, and we never ask you to send SOL. Anyone who does is a scammer.
