Solana Momentum Sniper
Most snipers race to be first into a brand-new token. The Solana Momentum Sniper does the opposite: it watches every new Pump.fun token and waits for momentum to show itself. It buys only the tokens with real buying behind them, and drops the rest.
The trade-off is simple: you give up the first seconds of a launch, and in exchange you only enter tokens that are already running. Most tokens never qualify, so expect fewer buys than the Solana Block-0 Sniper.
How it works
1. It watches every launch
Every new Pump.fun token is tracked from its first trade. Over short rolling windows the bot measures three things:
- Market cap in US dollars (the token's price times how many exist).
- Buying share: how much of the trading is buying rather than selling, by volume.
- Volume against market cap: how busy the trading is for a token of its size.
A token that never builds momentum is dropped after a while. A token that rugs is dropped at once.
2. It buys when two layers agree
- Is it in your league? The market cap, buying share, volume and the creator's own buy at launch must all sit inside the ranges you set. Tokens too small, too big or too quiet are ignored.
- Is it running right now? The buying share and the volume must both pass your buy signal on the last window. Higher thresholds mean fewer, cleaner buys.
When both agree, the bot buys your spend per token, once per token. (It can buy the same token again only after the wait you set.)
3. It runs from rugs
While it holds a token, the bot sells everything at once if any of these happen (each one can be turned off):
| Rug check | Sells everything if… |
|---|---|
| Creator sold | The creator sells a large share of the supply. |
| Pool lost | The SOL in the token's pool falls far from its peak. |
| Price fell | The price falls far from its peak. |
| Buying fell | Sellers take over and the buying share drops under your floor. |
It can also block that creator, so it never buys from them again.
4. It sells by your rules
Checked in this order, every time the price moves:
- Stop loss. If the trade is down to your stop loss (for example −30 %), it sells everything.
- Protect gains on the way down. Once a trade is up, it sells a share for each step the price drops from its peak, and everything at the bottom of the band.
- Take profit on the way up. It sells a share for each step profit climbs through a band. In Simple mode this is one take profit, for example "sell half at 2x and let the rest ride".
Your Style sets the "is it in your league" ranges, the buy signal, the rug checks and the protect-gains band. The Strategy page warns you if two rules make each other pointless, for example a stop loss the rug check always beats. Strategy explains the controls, and the Expert settings reference lists every setting.
Where it trades
Pump.fun
The bonding curve every new Pump.fun token starts on. In production: full buy-and-sell round trips have been made on mainnet.
PumpSwap
Where Pump.fun tokens trade after they graduate. A token that graduates while the bot holds it keeps being managed on PumpSwap, and the bot also buys tokens that are already on PumpSwap if they pass the same gates. In production, with live round trips on mainnet.
- Pools priced in USDC trade through SOL: SOL → USDC → token on a buy and back on a sell, each in one transaction. Your PnL stays in SOL.
- Pools created on PumpSwap directly (never on a curve) can be tracked too. This is Beta and off by default (Advanced:
[pumpswap] direct_pools).
Beta: Raydium CPMM and Meteora DAMM v2
Off by default, switched on in the bot's config in Advanced mode ([venues] raydium_cpmm, meteora_damm_v2).
- Raydium CPMM is where tokens from Raydium LaunchLab, Bonk.fun and StonkFun go when they graduate. Meteora DAMM v2 is where Meteora DBC and Bags tokens go.
- The bot starts tracking a token when it graduates into one of these pools, measures its momentum from the pool's own trades, and runs it through the same gates, rug checks and exits as a Pump.fun token.
- Pools priced in USDC trade through SOL, like PumpSwap. Pools priced in other tokens are skipped.
- Buys and sells on both have been simulated on mainnet at the pools' exact prices (nothing sent). No funded live round trip yet.
Swap aggregator
- Selling, on by default. If a token's normal exit has no route (no pool the bot can read), the bot sells through a swap aggregator instead. Every route is checked and simulated before it signs.
- Buying, Beta and off by default. When a token's curve completes while a buy is under way, the bot can buy on other pools through the aggregator instead (Advanced:
[exits] aggregator_buy).
Things to know
- The Solana Momentum Sniper trades Pump.fun tokens only; it has no launchpad picker.
- You can't buy a token by hand from the app with the Solana Momentum Sniper. Selling by hand works.
- It practises with virtual SOL first, like every bot, and the practice fills count the venue fee, slippage and network fees.
