Referrals

Share your referral link. Your friend gets a discount on their first paid order, and once they have paid, you get a discount on your next payment. The discounts only exist when someone actually pays.

How it works

1. Get your link. Signed in, open Refer friends in the console. Your link looks like https://allenhark.com/r/your-handle. Copy it or show its QR code. You can change the handle once; links with the old handle keep working.
2. Your friend opens it. The link remembers them in this browser for 30 days, then takes them to the site.
3. Your friend signs up and pays. The referral is recorded when they create their account, or at their first order. Their first paid order gets a 5% discount, on any AllenHark service, bots included. Checkout shows the line "Referral discount −5%".
4. You get a discount. 14 days after your friend's payment, if it wasn't refunded, you get a 5% discount on your next payment. It applies by itself at your next checkout or renewal.

The rules

These are the current defaults; the page in your console always shows the live rules.

• Friend: a 5% discount on their first paid order. A balance top-up isn't an order and gets no discount.
• You: a 5% discount on one payment for each friend who pays. It waits 14 days after their payment and becomes available if that payment isn't refunded or cancelled.
• Discounts add up. Several friends who paid give you several discounts on the same payment: two give a 10% discount, three a 15% discount, up to a 100% discount. With a 100% discount the order is free and only the discounts needed are used. The rest stay for later.
• Not combined with discount codes. If you also enter a discount code, the bigger discount is used.
• Applies to new orders and renewals, on balance, wallet and split payments. The amount is worked out by our server at checkout.
• One referral per person. An account can be referred once, and an account that has already paid for something can't be referred.
• No self-referrals. A referral from your own account or your own email is refused, and a friend who pays from your wallet earns you no discount. A friend on the same network as you is still referred; we may review it.
• Refunds. If your friend's order is refunded or cancelled within the 14 days, the discount waiting for you is cancelled.

Emails

• When a discount becomes available, you get an email saying a friend you referred has paid, that you now have a 5% discount on your next payment, how many discounts you have in total, and that they apply by themselves at your next checkout or renewal.
• Your friend's order receipt shows the referral discount line. There is no separate email for it.

• Where do I see my discounts? On Refer friends, and on the checkout page, which shows the line before you pay.
• Can I choose when to use a discount? No. Available discounts apply to your next payment automatically.
